On the Sunday before Australia Day, our faith community holds a worship service to reflect upon and lament the effect of the invasion and colonisation of this nation upon First Peoples.

We will invite local First Nations Christian leaders to be part of the service where all are welcome.

The observance of a Day of Mourning was endorsed by the 15th Assembly arising from a request of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC).

Oh come let us adore him.

Join Moreton Rivers Presbytery Minister Rev Mark Cornford and other representatives from the Moreton Rivers Presbytery, and the Uniting Church in Australia Queensland Synod for the commissioning of Pastor Erin Mawhinney. Come and pray together for God’s blessing on her ministry here at West End Uniting Church, followed by afternoon tea in the hall.
